The film was presented on two vast screens measuring 30 x 90 feet at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event in Barcelona, helping to launch the much-anticipated Galaxy S6 and S6 edge smartphones to an eager crowd of over 5,000 at the event, and many more online around the world.
Head of Creative Strategy, Ben Cyzer said, “It was an honour to work on such a significant and important launch for Samsung, and to bring these beautiful and innovative products to life with cutting edge CG.”
Director Rupert Creswell said of the film, “The main challenge was to perfectly recreate the unique design of the new Galaxy range. Samsung had put every effort into creating a luxury product, with curved glass surfaces and metallic colours that change with the angle of view - it was up to us to do their expert design justice. The film had to be every bit as premium as the range itself.”
As well as the launch film, the team developed a number of graphics sequences that featured throughout the Unpacked event.
